can i change from throttle body to carburator without transmission problems?

can i keep the original pcm functional by installing tps sensor from throttle
body onto edelbrock carb and keep all other sensors active only missing dist
signal wires because dist been replaced with hei vaccum advance dist

I suspect you will have problems and the CEL will be on all the time. You will also never pass smog inspection again.
