Limited slip differential

Asked by Rocky360 Feb 05, 2019 at 06:08 PM about the 1986 Chevrolet El Camino

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have a 1986 El Camino. It does not have a limited slip differential. And I am
trying to purchase one for it. But, I do not know where to begin on buying one.
What should I look for?

Junk yards and Craig's List are two places. If this were my car I would probably buy a limited slip differential and swap out the old one. If you are building a hotrod you may want to upgrade the rear diff to a stronger model. Which one do you have now?
