Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

Some factors that might adjust value:
-Mainly rusted underneath, wheel wells, frame etc.
-Original engine (350) and transmission (4-speed manual)
-Upper body and interior are not terrible
-Has not run in about 20 years

Get on Hemmings and compare it to similar Novas in that condition. For all intents it sounds like it needs a total restoration. Rust can really kill a cars value, since most of the sheet metal will have to be worked or replaced.

Condition is everything so we are unable to guess a value without seeing the vehicle in person.

Sounds to me that Is just a parts car !! Someone might buy it if they have a southern body that's worth all the work

Thank you all. Just deciding if it is worth the time for restoration and if the "as-is" price is like $100, $1000 or maybe more...

If it were an SS could fetch in the 20K range restored, but rust-buckets can cost 15K to restore if you do the work yourself, 20-30K if you farm it all out. Spend some time on the various hot-rod/muscle car forums or classic car classified sites like Hemmings, it can take weeks or months of reviewing other peoples ads to get a basis for your own ad if you don't religiously follow classic car values. Muscle cars in general are getting harder to find, especially unmolested cars with original drive trains. Someone out there is willing to tackle the rust as long as mileage is good and title is clear. Just have patience when listing the car, it might take weeks or months for your ad to filter through all the forums and classic car related sites before you find that buyer.
