I have '92 ( I think) Chevy Beretta, and the engine wont shut off when I switch the key off. What are some likely causes?? And fixes.

In the olden days, we would use a better grade of gas or retard the timing. Since you can't touch the timing, try some better gas and stand on the throttle a few times to blow cylinder carbon out the tailpipe. Get the RPM's up there and glace at the exhaust in the mirror. If it's doing anything, it will leave a dark cloud.
let it in gear when shutting down
