Is there teeth missing on the flywheel? Is the starter gear to close to the ring gear binding. If there are teeth missing or they are worn down to nothing then you will need to replace. If the starter is to close to the ring gear causing the gears to bind and the starter to fail or the nose to break you can purchase and install shims to gain clearance. Good luck. Is it an auto/manual 2wd/4wd. Do you have an area/tools to repair your self??
