Question type: Shopping & Pricing

My truck had a very small leak I noticed a small amount
under my truck. Now it is really bad basically pouring into
the ground and emptying within 10-15 mins, I seen where
the leak was coming from but I don't know what the name
of the part was. It is the front of my engine right hand side
"when facing it" almost on the side of the engine. I haven't
noticed coolant in my oil thank god. But could this be my
gasket and is it a lot to repair it ?

If its not the water pump or leaking down from a radiator/heater hose or thermostat housing and actually coming out between the cylinder head and the engine block its a head gasket or a crack in the head or if lower down from head, a crack in the engine block or if its between head and the intake manifold then it is a intake gasket. Take a picture and use a picture editor to add a pencil arrow point to the place it is suspected to be leaking from and add it to your next question/answer here on this post, thanks It will help us to know for sure, may need to add some lighting to back ground point toward area at an angle to avoid shine back and yet to add some light on that spot.

If this is a V6 then you have a housing that the water pump bolts on

Its your water pump, its driven by the cam (well one of the cams). Must be leaking from water pump and making its way out there. A cam seal will leak oil out there if it were to be bad.

Regarding a 2005 Ford Freestar Van, 4.2 Van: I haven't saw it personally. But my nephew said he saw a Milk Color mixed into where the Motor Oil is kept. What is the problem?

2 head gaskets. Take both heads off and make sure they are not warped and reinstall with new gaskets. Sometimes new head bolts also. Many accessories on top of the heads to remove to get to the heads

Actually the 4.2l is prone to lower intake gasket failure, this lets at first a small amount of antifreeze in the oil pan which then collects on the underside of the valve covers and in the oil fill tube/cap, but gets worse with time and turns the oil milky. It may just be the lower intake gasket, a compression test at each cylinder will confirm, no loss or leak down then it is the lower intake gasket bad, the upper has to be removed to get to the lower intake, 2 pieces.

Just put new water pump on 2004 ford freestar 4.2l I just filled it up with water no coolent but put some coolent in it bout week later and now three days after that my water pump is leaking again is they anything I can do to stop it

The water pump is bad again, coolent has lubrication for the water pump seals and bearings, water doesn’t so the bearings or seal are bad.
