Infiniti 2008 EX35 - After Battery Change..BOTH Intel Key Warning Light & Security Ind. Light ON - Can't Start

Asked by James Jul 12, 2018 at 12:28 AM about the 2008 INFINITI EX35

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed the battery in a 08 EX35 project car. Rode fine before having it sit
for a bit waiting for certain parts to come in. Had a mechanic come and
change the battery. All of a sudden now it doesnt recognize both original key
fobs. Guy went to replace the key fob batteries and still nothing. Went to the
manual key route, and it shows both steady the Intel Key Warning Light and
Security Key Warning Light.

I tried it all... key fob against the start button, inserting it into the fob slot,
nothing. The battery got drained after three days because warning lights
were on all the time. I can't start the car and even had a locksmith with a
code machine for the keys come but he cant even get it to ACC - it's
constantly on "ON."

Is this a Electronic Steering Column Lock malfunction as the manual states?
Has anyone experienced also the loss from the key fobs connectivity after
changing the battery? Anyone have ideas?

Hey Kanetria, So fast forward to the car being towed to the shop. They said it was a problem with how the battery was installed after it was replaced. Apparently something (a fuse) was blown as a result and that's why it was having those errors. I'd look into the fusebox next to the battery as the culprit.
