Why will engine turn over, not start for day or so then start just fine?

Asked by curlx Oct 14, 2015 at 08:10 PM about the 2008 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All of sudden, 2008 Ford STX F150 4.6l, will not start.  Wait a day or so and
engine starts fine.  It will start and run fine for week or so, then no start.
Engine will turn over, but not start.  Wait awhile then start.  I was thinking fuel
pump but it runs perfectly when it starts.  Took a chance and changed fuel
pump driver module.  Still same problem.

Your fuel intake is controlled by computer. Check your throttle body for any leaks or blockages and clean your mass airflow sensor. When it doesn't start... take the negative terminal off the battery for about a minute and then reconnect it. This will reset the sensors and you can see if it may be a sensor issue.
