2002 Pontiac grand am

Asked by Suz1990 Dec 15, 2018 at 04:29 PM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The battery is dead and the doors are locked.
It only came with one key.  The key works in
the ignition but will not open the trunk or
either door.  Is there a separate key for the
trunk and doors or are the locks just so old
they won’t  work? Tried WD-40.

Check on some Pontiac forums, as I do believe your Grand Am may have a separate key for the doors, glove box, and trunk than the ignition key. You might be able to get a new key cut at the dealership with your VIN number and proof of ownership.
