2004 acura tl

Asked by Scott Nov 01, 2016 at 08:37 PM about the 2004 Acura TL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car will shift and engine will rev but the car will not move in any gear. it felt like
something broke. I noticed prior to this happening that it was making a clicking
sound when turned the wheel. Any idea what the problem could be? Any
expectation on what it would cost to fix the issue?

I think you broke a CV joint on a front axle.

You need to talk to a mechanic about that one. I am guessing less than a grand though.

If one side is bad you should go ahead and fix the other side as it will fail pretty soon. That clicking noise is a warning!

BTW I just had my transmission rebuilt. This would not have anything do with that, correct?
