Door locks

Asked by loderunner Jan 24, 2007 at 12:54 AM about the 2000 Acura Integra

Question type: General

Is there any way to lock the driver's door other than with the key from the outside? Trying to lock it manually will not work if the door is open.  It's such a pain to have to use the key to lock the car every time.  Thanks!

Dear loderunner-- Your Acura Integra is rigged that way to make it very hard for you to lock your keys in your car by mistake. Unfortunately remote locking and unlocking were not available on your model. That would make things a lot simpler. As it is, lock them from the outside with the key and rest assured that your keys are not locked inside. Good luck from Bovan.

Dear loderunner..hold the handle open from the inside as if you were opening the door and flip the lock at the same time. Should work.
