1969 Toyota landcruiser

Asked by Rees Aug 08, 2016 at 06:10 PM about the 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would like to know any info on replacing the engine. I
have found some rebuilt 1969s but was wondering if
anyone knows whether or not I could possibly take a new
fj40 engine and put it in instead? Thanks for any help and
or suggestions

The stock FJ40 engine straight 6 cylinder is the most desired in those old Land Cruisers, the last one I sold a guy came from Colorado to purchase because, it was ORIGINAL...and people have purchased STOCK parts from across the U.S. To answer your question you can install any engine you desire in it, just time and money. Check all the forums on FJ40's
