I need any kind of insight

Okay so I'm really having a hard time with this. I
have a 2008 Chevy Silverado, and when I start it
(sometimes) it makes a grinding noise like
something isn't catching like it's supposed to. I
replaced the alternator and got a new battery. The
only thing I can think of is the starter, but every time
I take it to get tested they tell me the starter passed
the test. I don't want to take it to the dealership
unless I absolutely have to. I'm sitting on about
170,000 miles. Any kind of insight will help.

take the solenoid spring out and stretch it a little bit and put it back in..then adjust the starter..
