Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 1962 Corvair  which needs overhaul and have not done one before . Just like to know if there are any surprises while doing this .I will be doing a complete restoration on it.

Start by getting a catalog from Clark's Corvair parts and Corvair Underground. Just going thru the catalogs you will learn a lot about the Corvair and engine. Both companies offer various rebuilt parts and assemblies that will speed the process. Make certain you use the Viton "O" rings for the push rod tubes
