Does anyone know where I can pick up a valve cover for a 1971 MB 280S? Also if someone knows the part number for it, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I picked up a 1971 MB 280S, the car was purchased without a valve cover, also if anybody
knows the part number for the cover, that will help too.  Fun facts; uses an M130 engine,
2.8L, and I believe that only valve covers from a 280S (not 280SE or SEL) will be compatible however someone else may be able to confirm or debate if this is true.  I have searched the web and only found one valve cover at an unreasonable price, any help is
appreciated.  -Websites, Venders, available covers etc.
Thanks for reading. Please Help.

Thanks you; Ted, Paul and Matt, I found your sites very helpful. I am doing an engine rebuild on the Benz for it has lived in a barn for 36 years. I just got the engine out two days ago and I know I will need many new seals, gaskets and the list goes on. Your help is greatly appreciated. Josh
