Why do i sumtimes find my passenger footwell carpet soaked wet? audi a3 tsport 1998

Your A/C condenser drain pipe is full of water and over flowing into your footwell--Let your engine cool. Then, you need to open the engine bay, look behind the engine at the silver firewall shielding. you should see two U-shapes cut into the shielding, pull them up a bit. I believe in the bottom one is the flap that may be full of sludge/grime stopping up the A/C water drain hose. I have a '98 VW Jetta that did the same thing. Cheers
