Hi, Nothing against the 400 but i would rather yank out that 351 Cleaveland and have it bored out, stroked and rebuilt with after market go fast goodies. That motor is capable of over 500 horses and was detuned in the 70's because of the gas shortage. I would swap out that 2 barrel out and put in a 4 barrel Speed Demon. That Cleveland motor is better and stronger than any 400 out there when built up to its capability. If you do go this route, have the trans beefed up too to take the power and have a 3500 rpm stall converter put in along with a stage 2 shift kit. Believe me you'll have fun with this car when you're done. It's a classic. Don't crush it, Restore it.
