Weird sound

I have a Ford Explorer and It all of a sudden
started making this constant sound like a tapping
the sound resembles a sound of a toad. The sound
seems to be coming from the center of the dash
and nothing else seems to be wrong with the car.

Could be the electrical blend door actuator, a cog breaks off the plastic gear of the electrical motor. At some point your AC will get stuck on hot or cold. Check for utube videos, there are tons.
