Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the throttle body motor on my 04 ford explorer.
After doing so the wrench light came on. It deleted high
and shifted funny when driving. I stopped at a light and lost

Not sure why you swapped out the throttle body usually a new position sensor and cleaning will solve problem if it was actually the initial cause. Anyway with a new throttle body the terminals on the battery are disconnected and the positive lead gets grounded to clear the memory in the ECU. After that the reconnect battery terminals and let the vehicle idle for ten minutes to adjust to base idle. Then go for a normal drive to have vehicle go through all the shift points. If the CEL comes back you will have to read the codes again possibly with a vehicle specific scan tool such as IDS for Ford. Hopefully the above method solves your issue. Good Luck!
