Help!!! When my daughter puts her car in drive, sometimes it takes several tries to get it to engage. Once engaged, its fine. The transmission is somewhat 'weird' on this car. LOTS of noise!!!!

So the car dies in reverse, and then it's a 50/50 chance that it dies in drive. Also after it driving the car for about 30 minutes it will die at a stop sign. It has a new battery and new cables.
