on a1962 Galaxie did ford ever use" 401" on the fender badges

big argument!  The car in question was a mutual friend had  a col-um shift overdrive try power NEW in 62....
on the1962 GALAXIE-- 390 try power 401 hp. did ford ever use "401" fender badges ON THE FRONT
FENDERS???.

NO, In 1962 Ford had a "406" cubic inch motor in their Galaxies and had those badges with the crossed checkered flags on the lower front fenders but never had any such 401 horse power or cubic inch badges. MrBlueOval.

62 was the only year they put RED/BLACK eagle on there cars, all the rest where GOLD/BLACK....It looked really COOL that year...390/406/427
