Ignition problems

Asked by Thomas May 04, 2016 at 07:32 PM about the 2004 Ford Mustang

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I am having some problems I believe
have to do with the ignition switch. The car
will start and run, but the windows will not
go up or down. The radio the dash lights and
the turn signals don't work. I have talked to a
retired micanic who agrees with it being
something to do with the ignition. I would
just like another opinion on this. The car is a
2004 ford mustang 40th anniversary with
the 3.8 or 3.9 V6.

It's an electrical issue. Not the ignition switch, start by doing the FUSE checking drill, One of the most common issues are electrical GROUNDS, corroded, loose, etc.. 2004=12 yrs old inspect connections and FUSES it a beginning.

If it was fuses wouldn't it do it all the time. Sorry I forgot to add that part. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
