I have a 2004 ford ranger xlt super can I do a lot of off roading and have gone through 3 transmissions what is the best tranny to put in my truck?

Manual. Why do you blow transmissions? Overheating? If so install a heavy duty Fan cooled transmission cooler. My transmission can get warm when idling or going slow but not at speed. I plan on installing one of these coolers. A deep oil pan will also help.

Automatic I think over heating I have all gears except for first I can take off in second and then shift too drive and is all good until I slow down or stop then I have too put it back into second too take off.
