?why won.t my 1978 280 Z car start after a little water overspray?

Asked by bigbrian Aug 16, 2014 at 10:02 PM about the 1978 Datsun 280Z

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I started my 78 280Z and washed it while it was running it with the hood open slightly.
After I shut it off again, it would not restart. All I get is a faint clicking noise under the hood
when I try to start it. Battery is fully charged and good.

Check for loose/dirty/wet battery connections. Did battery get wet? Check battery voltage with a multi meter.
