Question type: Car Customization

I got a 1993 nissan skyline gts (r32) 4 door. It has a rb20det engine. everything is good and strong, just wondering would a stock turbo be able to put out enough power to handle a bov? and make it sound decent? if so which brand or model do you reccommend? thanks in advance!

Congrats on choosing an awesome car. A BOV doesnt need power to be handled. It simply allows excess air fed from the turbo to escape whenever the throttle closes. Every turbo system vents this air away, it just depends on where its fed to. What you're referring to is a BOV that vents to the atmostphere, producing that sound that turbo fans love. The sound of the BOV depends on how its designed at the exit point. Different manufacturers do it differently so it really depends on your preference. Generally many tuners opt for known brands like HKS or Blitz.
