Skylines were NOT designed for US safety and emissions, so they are illegal. There are some legal R32s. R33s, R34s because a company went and crash tested R33s and satisfied the safety and emissions testing but it was only for the R33s. They started importing R32s and R34s and said they were R33s, Feds caught wind of it, shut the whole thing down. No Skylines except those that were grandfathered in. Some people have tried the bring the cars by parts then assemble it in the States, Feds caught wind of that and shut that down as well, to the point that Skylines are blacklisted. The Nissan GTR, R35s are designed for US rules and they also dropped the Skyline name, since that would cause some problems with the Feds.

In 2024 you can bring in an r34 just wait it out or buy one from Garage Defend and pay for storage until its legal to import here. Yes Garage Defend has storage

Easy but pricey solution. Get an RB26DETT and swap it in with needed parts. You probably can't get AWD but you can get a GTR for at least 20-45k USD cheaper

Being to fast isn't a reason, stock the car only makes 400-450. Nothing compare to cobra mustangs and etc. its simply bc of safety.
