can anyone tell me will a rear bumper off a 72 duster fit on the 73 duster

No in 1973 was the first year of the 5mph bumpers they of a different design

Richard do you mean the the bumper shocks that the rear bumper bolts to ? If you do mine does not have this it has solid rear mounts NO shocks

In 73 the federal gov't mandated 5 mph bumpers. The mounts are different and the 73 bumper is larger, boxier and has rubber bumper guards. and the 72 and earlier the brackets bolted directly to the unibody and had no shock absorbing properties. 73-76 duster bumpers are interchangable.
