1983 Toyota 4x4 turn singles/hazard lights kill battery in seconds if fuse i's left in

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1983 Toyota 4x4 pickup when the fuses
are pulled for the blinkers/hazards everything runs
great, truck holds and maintains a full charge. But
if fuses are put in it will seemingly kill the trucks
battery with the truck running or not almost
instantly I think it might be a short but somewhere
in the steering column but I'm just wondering if
anyone else has had a problem like this also they
completely stopped working no indicator light on
dash.

If a little light bulb kills your battery that fast, either it's not charging well or the battery is no good. When power is being consumed with the key off its called a parasitic draw. Turn the key off and use a test light to check if there is power at the lights when there should be none
