You need to change your throw-out bearing. that will solve your grinding type noise when your foot is off the clutch. for your clicking noise, I have no idea.

Not at all Peter, you're way off on this one !! ---- The transmission input shaft bearing could be making noise with the engine running , foot off the clutch, and transmission in neutral....The throw-out bearing will only make noise when you engage the clutch unless there's a problem with not having enough free-travel to allow the throw-out bearing to separate from the pressure plate, which will wear the throw- out bearing very fast and noise will be present when the clutch is not engaged ! .....As for the "clicking" when rolling backwards --- I'd like to know if the tranny is making the same noise rolling backwards in neutral with and without the clutch engaged or only when in gear and, with the vehicle off the ground--does it make the same noise.....These simple tests will help diagnose the problem more accurately.
