how to bleed a hydrolic clutch slave cylender
'67 MGB- that has a hydraulic clutch? and no bleeder valve? hmmmmm
I did not think it had hydraulic clutch,the one,s i have seen were cable.
hmmmmmm- the plot thickens- I do not know, personally- I avoid MGs like the plague- but the rest of the engineering is so "classic" (archaic) I am surprised by the lack of a cable- does anyone know for sure? where are the English mechanics today? lost in Whitworth land?
I stand corrected jamnblue,here it is there is a bleeder,
You bleed a clutch like this by holding the clutch in,and let fluid free bleed it self,do this until reseivoir is about out,then then fill up again and do it one more time,this will let all the air out of system.
In the picture, the bleeder is in the wrong place. Manufacturers often send them this way because they can ship in a smaller box. The bleeder should be in the higher fitting and the hose should be entering from the end of the slave.
I own an MGB, and you can bank on what I said about the fittings being in the wrong places. MGBs are tough to bleed, but there are plenty of ways to do it single-handed or with a buddy. Just Google "bleeding MGB clutch and you'll have more info than you need. Lol
