how do I troubleshoot a fuel problem for a 79 mgb? I replaced the fuel pump but not getting fuel out of the tank to the carb-I have 4-5 gal of fuel in the tank 1 Answer

I seem to but be getting power to the pump but if I disconnect the line out of the pump no fuel comes out when I try to start. The tank, sending unit, pump, fuel lines from tank and gas is new.

MGB starts runs well for 3 to 4 min and quits. Has fuel at the carbs, pump runs well fuel at carbs. Spraying starter fuel in the carb does not rev engine. After it quits turn the key it restarts but will not run. Wait a couple of min and restart it will again run well for 3to 4 min and quit. 2 Answers

Car has electronic egnition. Fuel pump works. Carbs have fuel. New coil. Just replaced the clutch. The car ran and started well before pulling the engine
