1964 MGB Not starting

Asked by Johnny Nov 20, 2018 at 01:25 PM about the 1964 MG MGB Roadster

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just purchased a 1964 MGB  Nice vehicle that had been restored.
Have had it for two weeks and dave driven in a half dozen times
Went to start it yesterday and nothing.
Battery is fine.
Turn the key and i can hear a couple clicks form the fuel pump
But nothing from the starter or starter solenoid.  No clicks, nothing.
Believe it is a solenoid issue.  Before I order one, any other thoughts or ways to check it?
Thank you,
Johnny

Don't listen to the heathens here! ;) You could try charging the batteries or a jump start. If you are careful you can use the screw driver trick at the starter to see if it turns over or not. Moss Motors is a good source for parts.
