Lost my keys to my MGB 1970 should I replace the lock ignition and cylinder if so how do I get the Plastic crawl cover off the lock

need to change my lock ignition on my 70 MGB how do I get the Plastic cover
crawl off the steering wheel column?

Most quality locksmiths are capable of making a new key by just taking impressions from the lock. My question is why, when you knew you only had one key, did you not get a couiple more made.? When you get this one, be sure to get duplicates.
