How do I charge battery via alternator on a 1973 MGB ?

Asked by loeschray Dec 22, 2016 at 10:06 AM about the 1973 MG MGB Roadster

Question type: General

I want to trickle charge my battery on my 1973 MGB during the winter without
making direct contact to the battery located behind the passenger seat. I want
to hook up to the alternator and ground. Do I hook up to the B+ on the
alternator ?

If it has a cigarette lighter that is hot all the time you can hook a trickle charger there. Make darned sure the polarity is correct when you do this.

Removing the battery and trickle charging it on your work bench is another option.
