How do you by pass steering column to tow the truck?

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

We are trying to by pass or remove steering wheel
lock with out damaging the ignition  to scrap the
truck....you see my nephew was murdered and we
cannot find the key to his truck...and all his
personal items are being held for trial...help...it is
difficult for my sister to see his vehicle at mom's
house.

Call a towing service with a flatbed. They can pull it up on the bed without the keys.

I scrapped a gmc jimmy recently with no keys and steering locked up. Since it was being scrapped anyways I pulled the wheel as hard as I could to the right and broke it free. If you're desperate try it
