Corsa B intermittently starts

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Opel Corsa B 1.4i hatch. It intermittently starts and I have to jump
start the car to get it running, it runs & drives perfectly but when I switch the car
off and back on it intermittently starts and when it does not start it sounds like
the battery is dead. what could the problem be? battery? alternator? starter?
what are some of the tests that I can run to check which part it problematic?

kinda sounds like an ECM going bad , but things have to be tested before replacing something of course . Is there a security system ? Make sure batt terminals are tight .
