Ford Focus 2003 wind noise at high speeds.

Asked by Yohai Jan 21, 2014 at 09:15 AM about the 2003 Ford Focus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi Everyone,

I had the windsheild replaced due to a crack.
After that, I get a wind noise when I drive above 80 km/h.
The noise gets much louder as the speed increases.

I don't feel any air coming inside the cabin.
I taped around the windshield, and the connections of the side mirrors, but no help.
I'd be glad to get some ideas.

Yohai.

Tape? if the windshield is not leaking water when it rains or when you wash it, the seal is probably ok- wind noise would be due to the trim not being installed correctly- or some other odd problem like squirrels clinging to the fender- (?)

Take it back to the place that replaced the windshield, it just didn't completely seal good some where , or could be they didn't line it up right and air is getting in some where!!!! Make them fix it cause next it will be water when it rains or you wash it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would definitely make them fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
