Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While in the yard turned off the car will not go into gear. While driving I can stop at a stop
sign or red light turn off the car put it into gear and crank it up again. It will not shift into
gear normally.

It's a 5 speed manual transmission

cable or hydraulic could be cable or leaking fluid

I've got an ford focus sliver when my girlfriend drives it it won't go into gear it's hard to go into gear sometime it's just happen while she's on the way to work and it keeps going into the middle while she's driving can anyone help me please
