Where do you charge electronic devices in the Ford Focus?

Question type: General

Just bought a 2003 Ford Focus.  I plugged the cell phone charger into the cigarette lighter and the phone did not charge.  Later, I was looking through the manual and it said not to use the cigarette lighter, that there were charging ports elsewhere in the car. Where are they?

The manual that came with my 2003 Ford Focus was for a 2004 Ford Focus, but was similar enough in most areas to meet my needs. However, I found out that the 2003 Ford Focus does NOT have a charging port. I had my mechanic check the fuse on the cigarette lighter, and sure enough it was dead and had to be replaced. Once it was replaced, the charging device worked fine and I can plug in my cell phone to the charger whenever I use the car. However, it is important to remove the charger (not just disconnect the phone from it) when the car is parked or garaged.
