You might drop the transmission pan and change filter and transmission fluid may help.

Thanks i was thinking about that i kinda figured all those years sitting n just adding oil. Ive been running it like that for about a year but cant get into freeway without that last gear.n now sometimes i have to gas it in gear n then it'll grab gear when its cold.

Thank you Youve been really helpful . I know before car was parked for couple years the tranny worked fine it was parked because we had seen water shooting through exhuast thinking it was a headgasket after couple years of sitting my son convinced me to give him my toy he didnt want a honda, toyota,or other lil reliable car he wanted the Z which was kool with me he had good taste in cars so i thought it would be a quick head gasket fix ended up rebuilting whole engine turned out the heads had hole n had frz.wanted to rebuilt trans but $ was issue so i took chances n now im here i hope ur advise works . Thnxs again.

As mentioned (TransX ) is the best ! I've seen it "save" many transmission problems. Read directions... Can even leave it in a bit longer than directed...but do flush after it does it's work.
