Make sure there's coolant in your radiator and engine isn't overheating. The AC has a thermal switch, which will turn it off if too hot. If not, it's your blend actuators in the dash which blend hot and cold air. Usually these will blow after battery is disconnected and reconnected, especially with the blower motor on.
