I have a 1963 ford falcon 6cly with manual choke. when the choke is pulled out the choke plate is flat when the choke is pulled in the choke plate is straight up and down. is adjustment requier and how do you do that

thats the way a manual choke works.you pull it to what it requires.

I was a little kid when my Dad bought my Mom a left over new 1962 Falcon Deluxe with the 170 and a choke. It always amazed me how she would pull that out to start the car in cold weather and as it warmed up she would gradually push it in a little at a time.
