normally there are some 'jesus' clips attatched to the back of the the trim piece, and a few holes for them to glide into- do you not have these clips....could be ordered with a description (length size needed) a matter of a few missing hardware parts, no?

my oldmobile had castings of a pin. a hand would have to go around and tighten these kind of thread forming fasteners. Not only was it a pain in the gonzooka, they broke off and you can't do nothing with a cast piece other than replace it. Lucky we don't have this situation, as with the push in clip no access is needed from the backside.

Never actually owned a falcon, but quite sure you won't have to drill holes, the pushclip is merely speculation on my part, but something just like this is the correct hardware-

I've removed some moldings that were attached using those plastic christmas tree plugs that are used on door panels. Other molding used double sided tape. They may not be what was used in '63 but they work.

Depends on which moldings. If you mean the "Spears" for the Futuras, they bolt on, If you mean the Sprint emblems and such they use the push in spring clips

The molding between the door and the spears is held on with screw on nuts that is made from a flat piece of metal crimped into the shape of a nut. Mark is correct there are different sizes. The spears use regular nuts and the fender splash guards on the inside of the fenders use staples.

The spears attach with nuts. But there’s no way that I can see to access all the studs on the spears unless you remove the fender. Is this correct?
