63 ford falcon convertible i have a inch diameter circle in the door above the door handle what is it for?and it is on both doors

I would say it was for a power mirror. Ford had a manual remote mirror setup in the early 1960's (very square & crude looking) that went on the car as an option. All the inner door panels were perforated from the factory where the mirror shaft was supposed to go. If you ordered a remote control mirror, they put the shaft thru that hole. If no remote mirror was ordered, the hole wasn't opened up but still perforated. Thru the years the perforation part of it probably fell out and both were opened up on purpose maybe to install a remote mirror handle and shaft. If the holes are capped, I would just leave them alone and keep them that way unless you can find those remote mirrors but they are quite rare and don't look the greatest on those early 1960's Ford. Just keep them capped off like the picture above. Kenny/MrBlueOval

Its an access hole for the vent window support bolt. On a standard Falcon the door frame holds the vent window in. On a hard top or a vert, there is no window frame. The vent window assembly is bolted into place. If you ever have to remove it, you pop that plug out, and you will see a bolt in there. This has to be removed along with another one down and some screws under the weather stripping to remove the assembly.
