Why do you lure people with pre approval then the auto place tells you no?

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I was approved through west lake and put through the ringer telling me the car
was higher than listed and I could not be financed

The dealers have nothing to do with the Westlake financing. The financing on this site is more for private vehicle sales, dealers like to use their own banks for financing. Some dealers like to list cars on the cheap and raise it when your interested. Those are the dealers you stay away from.

Take that up with Westlake. It appears to me their so called preapprovals are not much more than spam.
