Hose running to heater needing repair?

Asked by AmosB1973 Sep 20, 2019 at 01:51 AM about the 2003 Ford Taurus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 ford taurus is over heating.  In looking  at
it I have discovered what seems to be the problem.
A hose that connects  to the heater seems to be
literally  shredded.  My question:   is there
something I can do as a quick fix until I can buy the
part to try to fix it.  Would a foil tape (hvac tape)
hold until I can get the part?  Really in a position
that I can't afford a mechanic, and have to repair it
myself.....
