where is dimmer switch located

The dimmer switch on your Taurus is part of the turn signal lever on the left side of the steering column. Flip it forward for high beam, flip it back for low beam, and pull way back and release to "blink" your high beams. When on high beam you will see a blue icon light up on the speedometer display. Also, rotating the knob on the end of that lever will operate the windshield wipers. Push in on the end to spray window washer fluid. Lots of stuff for one lever to do.

That sounds like the turn signal switch the dimmer switch is located left side of steering wheel attached to dash panel there is a black wheel which you turn up or down to dim all the dash lights or make them brighter this includes radio and heater control panel
