It stalls as soon as I put it in gear had the rear end off the ground ran in drive till I hit the brakes as soon as the tires stop the motor stalls

Both drove it for over1 hour today on the highway mostly every time I stop it stalled like the trany wasn't disengaging

Sorry, but 1979 fords don’t have a torque converter clutch solenoid. It has a C4, C6 or FMX transmission which are all mechanical with vacuum modulators.
