1971 Ford Ltd convertible

What does that mean? The only car I know of called Genesis is a Hyundai and the two cars are complexity and totally different. The wheel count is about the only thing they have in common.
The only thing I could find on a '71 "Genesis chassis" was for a VW, so putting a Ford LTD on that would be a big no. There are pro-street and pro-touring chassis makers out there that would fit the FR layout of a 71 LTD. Now, whether or not it's WORTH putting a $10,000 pro-street or pro-touring chassis under a 71 LTD is your call. I'm sure finding an original chassis or frame out west is a better and cheaper way to go.
This type of swap is not something I would encourage anyone to do. It is like trying to swap the original Maybach diesel engine of a Panzer tank for the Ford V10 engine of a Sherman tank. But, of course, if you have the money, anything is possible.
I misspoke I ment a 71 Ford galaxy. Panzer tank comment was funny btw.
