1985 ford ltd wagon

My Ltd Wagon coughs and looses power mostly when driving up hill. I pull
over shut oof the engine then fire it back up with no problems and thet usually
does the trick.
what can that be?

Try tuning the engine up and check the catalytic converter to make sure it is not plugged up. I would also use a good fuel system cleaner in a tank or two of gas.

ok, so the cars distributor, spark plugs, plug wires and fuel filter was replaced. fired it back up and noticed the cylinders on the passenger side were not firing. thought the fuel injectors were clogged. pulled those out but there are spraying gas. i'm stuck??
